The Procurement Lead is responsible for providing strategic procurement leadership, ensuring effective contract delivery, supplier governance, and service excellence for client operations.
The role serves as the primary liaison with the client, oversees procurement performance against Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and ensures procurement activities align with company policies, client expectations, and local content requirements.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary procurement representative and relationship manager for the client.
- Lead procurement service delivery while ensuring compliance with contractual SLAs and KPIs.
- Manage client communications, issue resolution, and procurement escalations.
- Provide oversight of procurement governance, supplier performance, and policy compliance.
- Ensure procurement activities support local content and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate procurement resources to meet operational demands.
- Conduct monthly procurement performance reviews and present service metrics to stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and process optimization.
- Mentor procurement personnel and ensure adequate succession and backup coverage.
- Collaborate with logistics, operations, finance, and vendors to ensure seamless procurement execution.
Must Have
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Procurement or related discipline.
- CIPS qualification preferred.
- Minimum 7 years' procurement experience.
- Minimum 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing, supplier management, contract administration, and procurement best practices.
- Experience supporting Oil & Gas, Energy, Marine or Industrial operations preferred.
