We are seeking an experienced Floorhand who will be responsible for handling drilling tools and tubulars on the rig floor to make up and break down drill strings, risers, and other drilling systems.
This role also assists with drilling operations across the vessel as needed. All tasks must be performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Actively participating in daily pre-tour and pre-job meetings.
- Stopping work and obtaining approval when deviations from planned operations are necessary.
- Following standard instructions and maintaining effective communication with the Assistant Driller.
- Performing daily QHSE checks and manifold line-ups.
- Operating rig tongs, wrenches, and other equipment for making up or breaking out tubular.
- Using manual and automated means to move, position, lift, and install tubular and other equipment.
- Maintaining rig floor hygiene and housekeeping to Client's standards.
Must Have
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum Three (3) years' experience in an offshore environment.
- Strong understanding of safety program objectives with proactive participation.
- Physically capable of performing Emergency Response Team duties as per MODU station Bill.
- Valid Seaman Book.
- Valid TBOSIET (Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training).
