The Logistics Expeditor is responsible for monitoring purchase orders through to final delivery by coordinating suppliers, freight providers, warehouse operations, and customs activities to ensure timely delivery of materials supporting client operations.
Responsibilities
- Expedite Purchase Orders from issuance through final delivery.
- Monitor supplier production and delivery milestones.
- Coordinate shipment scheduling and logistics activities.
- Liaise with freight forwarders, customs brokers and transport providers.
- Track shipment status and communicate updates to stakeholders.
- Coordinate warehouse receiving and material movements.
- Resolve delivery delays and logistics issues.
- Ensure customs documentation is complete and compliant.
- Maintain shipment tracking reports and procurement status updates.
- Coordinate with procurement, warehouse and operations teams to ensure material availability.
- Support inventory visibility and supply chain performance reporting.
- Escalate critical delivery risks that may impact operations.
Must Have
- Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years logistics, expediting or supply chain experience.
- Knowledge of freight forwarding, customs processes and international shipping.
- Experience using ERP or procurement management systems.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Oil & Gas, Marine or Industrial logistics experience preferred.
