The Offshore Client Liaison & Workforce Engagement Lead serves as the primary representative of EDO to offshore personnel, responsible for building trust, strengthening employee relations, and ensuring a positive, productive offshore work environment.
This position is responsible for proactively identifying risks, addressing grievances, and reinforcing EDO’s position as the employer of record through consistent, visible engagement at key employee touchpoints.
Responsibilities
- 1. Workforce Engagement & Representation
• Act as the primary EDO representative onboard, maintaining a visible and approachable presence. - • Engage crews at key touchpoints (pre-tour, arrival, during hitch, and departure) to build trust and gather feedback.
- • Foster strong relationships to promote a positive and productive work environment.
- 2. Employee Relations & Issue Management
• Serve as the first point of contact for employee concerns and grievances. - • Proactively identify and resolve issues to minimize escalation.
- • Track and close out all matters through an Action Tracker.
- 3. Communication & Coordination
• Facilitate clear communication between offshore crews and onshore management. - • Relay feedback and updates in a structured and timely manner.
- • Always maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
- 4. Performance & HR Support
• Support appraisals and end-of-hitch evaluations. - • Participating in performance and disciplinary discussions where required.
- • Provide insights into employee engagement and development.
- 5. Operational & Administrative Support
• Coordinate and communicate crew changes (planned and unplanned). - • Work with operations to address queries and deliver formal communications to crews.
- • Compile required reports (employee feedback, KPIs, client input).
- • Prepare meeting agendas, minutes, and track action items.
- • Conduct routine rig walk-throughs to ensure a safe and fair work environment.
- 6. Client & Feedback Management
• Collect and communicate client feedback. - • Support implementation and follow-up of improvement actions.
- 7. Culture, Engagement & Content Creation
• Capture and promote positive offshore experiences aligned with EDO’s brand. - • Use content to strengthen morale, recognition, and employee connection to EDO.
- KEY COMPETENCIES:
• Ability to demonstrate technical aptitude to standards required.
• Good communication skills, arithmetic, data entry and recording skills.
• Strong interpretation and analytical skills for geological data.
• Ability to work in physically demanding offshore conditions. - HSSEQ RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Comply with all company HSSEQ policies and offshore safety regulations.
• Report unsafe conditions, incidents, and near misses immediately.
• Participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and emergency drills.
• Wear and correctly use all required PPE.
• Promote proactive safety culture and environmental compliance.
Must Have
- Bachelor's Degree / Associate’s Degree / Diploma would be an asset.
- 3–5 years’ experience in offshore operations, HR, or similar role.
- Offshore experience preferred.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Familiarity with employee relations and reporting processes.
- MANDATORY CERTIFICATIONS & COMPLIANCE:
• Valid TBOSIET with CA-EBS certification.
• OGUK Medical Certification
• Up-to-date vaccinations as per offshore health requirements.
