Are you a skilled and safety-driven marine engineering professional with hands-on experience in offshore operations? We’re looking for an experienced 3rd Engineer to join our team and take responsibility for supervising engine room operations, managing fuel transfers, and maintaining critical mechanical equipment onboard a MODU. If you hold valid Marshall Islands licenses and have a strong background in engineering watch duties, safety procedures, and equipment maintenance in the offshore environment, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for safety of crew, environment, and engine room as well as own safety.
- Attends and participates in all pre-tour, post tour, and weekly safety meetings.
- Responsible for the watch in the Engine Control Room. Supervises other personnel on watch and assures the proper power distribution on the MODU.
- Responsible for bunkering, transferring fuel, water, and other fluids safely and efficiently.
- Maintains order, cleanliness, and housekeeping at mechanical sites.
- Maintains the mechanical equipment required by the Chief Engineer/Second Engineer.
- Assists the Chief Engineer/Second Engineer to ensure that all safety critical equipment onboard the MODU is maintained and tested to the client’s safety policies, standards and procedures, and Flag State Regulations.
- Identifies opportunities to improve operational procedures and assists with procedure revisions and risk assessments.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of four (4) years working in the Marine/Offshore industry.
- One (1) to two (2) years of maritime/offshore experience as a 3rd or 4th Engineer Officer in Charge of an Engineering Watch.
- Completion of a degree from a recognized Maritime Academy or University is required.
- Must Have Marshall Island license
- Must Have AB/OS/Oiler license
