Motorman - Oiler

Are you a detail-oriented marine professional with a strong mechanical background and a focus on safety and maintenance? We’re looking for a qualified Oiler/Motorman to support engine room operations, perform critical maintenance tasks, and ensure the safe, clean, and efficient running of vessel machinery. If you hold valid Marshall Islands and USCG Oiler or Motorman licenses, have experience with VAMS systems, and are committed to high safety standards, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

• Prioritizes maintenance tasks assigned on safety and environmental critical equipment/systems (SECE’s) as defined in VAMS.
• For rigs with Performance Standards:
• Prioritizes maintenance tasks assigned with Assurance Activities required by Performance Standards.
• Maintains an understanding of the relationship between the rigs safety case, identifies Major Accident Hazards, the bow tie assessment, Performance Standard (PS) documents, and PS Assurance Activity tasks in VAMS.
• Uses the VAMS system to be able to identify equipment identified as Barriers.
• Maintains housekeeping onboard to the Company standards with a special focus on emergency exits and continually maintains safe and clean engine and auxiliary equipment rooms.
• Enters equipment readings in the engine room logbook as part of daily rounds.
• Informs Third and Second Engineers of any technical problems or limitations that may affect safe operation of the vessel.
• Ensures workshop equipment and tools are maintained as per highest safety standards.
• Clearly and accurately communicates work status at end of shift.

Education Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• A current valid USCG Oiler or Motorman w/ STCW III/4 or III/5 on the MMC.
• A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in this position and demonstrated ability of oral and written communications.
• Must Have Marshall Island license

• Must Have AB/OS/Oiler license
