Job Opportunity – Operations Supervisor
📍 Location: Land of Canaan, East Bank Demerara
We are looking for an Operations Supervisor to oversee the daily activities of our machine shop, servicing, and rental departments.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, schedule, and oversee daily operations across all departments.
- Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment to reduce downtime.
- Develop and implement operational plans (daily, weekly, monthly).
- Monitor workflow, allocate resources, and ensure timely completion of jobs.
- Supervise, mentor, and train team members; conduct evaluations and foster teamwork.
- Manage inventory, procurement, and departmental budgets efficiently.
- Collaborate with sales and service teams to meet customer requirements.
- Address and resolve customer concerns promptly.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and cost savings.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, safety standards, and industry regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in oil and gas operations.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, API Q1, 7-1, 5CT, DS1, and other industry standards.
- Experience in manufacturing/servicing OCTG products and accessories.
- Strong leadership, team-building, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with CMMS, data analysis, and resource planning.
- Certification in Lean and/or Six Sigma (preferred).
- Excellent organizational, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
