Job Opportunity: Security Guard
📍 Location: Land of Cannen
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
• Conduct routine patrols to identify and address security risks.
• Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems to prevent unauthorized activities.
• Control access to the facility by verifying identification and credentials of employees, visitors, and contractors.
• Enforce access control policies and procedures.
• Respond promptly to security incidents, alarms, or emergencies.
• Collaborate with local authorities as needed and provide detailed incident reports.
• Safeguard company assets, including machinery, drilling tools, and other valuable equipment.
• Perform regular checks on fences, gates, and other physical security measures.
• Maintain effective communication with other security personnel, staff, and management.
• Report any security concerns or breaches to appropriate authorities.
• Keep accurate records of security-related activities, incidents, and patrols.
• Complete incident reports and provide recommendations for security improvements.
• Perform any other related duties as requested by management.
Knowledge, Skills & Attributes:
• Valid security guard license/Certificate of Competency (COC).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in CCTV, access control systems, and alarm monitoring.
• Ability to respond to emergencies and make quick decisions under pressure.
• Knowledge of local laws, regulations, and security industry standards.
• Physically fit to handle demanding tasks.
• Familiarity with oil and gas industry standards is an asset.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
• Minimum three (3) CSEC passes.
• 3+ years’ experience as a Security Guard, preferably in industrial or manufacturing settings.
• Security training and certifications.
• Experience in oil and gas industry security.
• First Aid and CPR certification.
• Fire safety training.
