Team Lead - Warehousing

Are you an experienced logistics and warehouse professional with a strong background in cargo handling, inventory management, and operational coordination? We’re seeking a dedicated Warehouse Supervisor to oversee receiving, scanning, and dispatching cargo, ensure secure container loading with proper strapping and bracing, and coordinate seamlessly with our Guyana Operations team to optimize space, time, and resources. Requirements:

• Overseeing and aiding with receiving, scanning all cargo received and send Warehouse Receipt notifications to the Trinidad team.

• Prepare cargo releases for cargo that has to be dispatched from Warehouse facilities.

• Ensuring that all cargo is securely packed into containers, strapping, blocking and bracing where needed.

• Overseeing and assisting with loading and scanning all cargo for container loads., generating Scanned Load lists for each container that leaves the warehouse.

• Send pictures of all loaded containers at DRT once loading is complete, inclusive of container and seal pictures.

• Identify damaged, lost or missing merchandise and notify Trinidad Team immediately.

• Ensure that all Customs Documents or Hazmat Documents are available and accurate in order for smooth loading of these types of cargo.

• Preparing discrepancy reports (where applicable) after each shipment for effective management purposes.

• Assisting the Trinidad Operations team in identifying container sizes, brainstorming on the best loading plan layouts to maximize space, resources and time constraints.

• Coordinate with the Trinidad Team to enable a smooth process flow when loads are confirmed (receiving on hands in advance to identify cargo locations before loading, staging cargo).

• Communicate with drivers to ensure efficient delivery of products (planning delivery of bigger loads to ensure the warehouse capacity is utilized and not overburdened).

• Maintain all inventory, managing a full inventory system, pushing on the bigger loads as well as escalating loads nearing to the end of storage free time.

• Supervise all Warehousing activities and overseeing daily operations, planning and prioritizing with staff on their daily duties based on volumes.

• Manage customer service requests promptly and resolve issues quickly.

• Generate daily and weekly reports as requested.

• Assist Warehouse staff with offloading and packing when needed.

• Treat merchandise with care and concern always.

• Train and support new employees as they are on-boarded.

• Enforce all Company rules and regulations.

• Any other duties as may be required.

Must Have: 

• Degree in Management, Logistics or Supply Logistics or related field.

• At least two years’ experience in a similar role will be an asset.
