Offshore Assistant Safety Officer

Georgetown, Guiana

The Safety Officer must be aware of safety information, updating it regularly, implementing safety management systems, maintaining FFE and LSA availability, and contributing to maintaining the working environment and operational requirements. Also maintain effective relationships with colleagues, supervisors, and inspection/audit teams, and facilitating access to appropriate information. 

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the coordination, administration, and delivery of training events.
  • Maintain records of all safety training carried out on board and pass current summary listing to Operations Office and Monaco.
  • Write clear and unambiguous reports as required to the Safety Officer.
  • Promote positive safety behaviors and attitudes in self and others (use STOP system as appropriate).


Must Have

    • Experience in servicing/maintaining Fire Fighting Equipment (FFE) and Lifesaving Appliances (LSA).

    • Experience in helicopter operations

    • Familiarity with Safety Management Systems

    • Familiarity in use and operation of PTW, Risk Assessment, Gas Testing,

     

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Sunday to Saturday, 12 hours, 28days on/ 28 days off
  • Offshore environment
  • Busy, fast-paced environment
