We are seeking a highly skilled Community Relations Officer / Specialist III to join our Commercial and Business team. This role is pivotal in maintaining and strengthening relationships with local communities and stakeholders affected by our operations. You will be the bridge between our company and the community, ensuring timely, consistent, and transparent communication, and promoting initiatives that align with our community development strategy.
Responsibilities
- • Serve as the primary liaison between the company, contractors, and local stakeholders.
• Lead direct consultation and engagement efforts with individuals, groups, communities, and local authorities.
• Plan and conduct public awareness campaigns and general information sessions.
• Align community development investments with the company’s strategic goals.
• Provide guidance on strategic mitigation measures to address community impacts.
• Develop detailed reports on community relations activities and stakeholder engagement.
• Operate with minimal supervision while demonstrating expert knowledge and judgment.
Must Have
- • University degree in Social Sciences, Socioeconomics, Public Relations, or related fields.
• Proven experience in community relations, stakeholder engagement, or similar roles.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills—both written and verbal.
• Ability to manage sensitive situations with diplomacy and cultural awareness.
• Excellent writing and editing abilities for internal and external reporting
