The role of the Accountant entails supporting the Finance Manager with day to day finance operations. Ensuring compliance with accounting regulations and conventions in all accounting related transactions of the company. This role requires the incumbent to be attentive to details, exercise proper accounting practices and have efficient time management skills.
Responsibilities
· Performing audits and resolving discrepancies.
· Assisting management in the decision-making process by preparing budgets and financial forecasts.
· Complying with all company, local, state, and federal accounting, and financial regulations.
· Keeping informed about current legislation relating to finance and accounting.
· Compiling, analyzing, and reporting financial data.
· Creating periodic reports, such as balance sheets, profit & loss statements, etc.
· Presenting data to managers, board members, and other entities.
· Maintaining accurate financial records.
· Monthly and Year End tasks.
· Special projects as required.
Requirements
· Minimum of 5 years Senior Accounting Experience
· Minimum of ACCA Level 2 or Equivalent
· Experience using Quickbooks or Peachtree Accounting Software
· Key Skills; Time Oriented, Organised, Computer Savvy, Communication
