JOB SUMMARY
The Crane Operator is responsible for carrying out all lifting operations safely and efficiently onboard offshore units. This role supports deck operations, ensures compliance with safety standards, and works closely with the Barge Master and deck crew to coordinate lifting activities.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform all crane and lifting operations in accordance with company procedures

Ensure lifting plans and risk assessments are in place before operations

Conduct pre-use inspections of cranes and lifting equipment

Select appropriate lifting gear and verify valid colour coding

Report any defects, damage, or incidents immediately

Coordinate lifting operations with deck crew, DPO, and control room

Participate in rig moves and anchor winch operations when required

Maintain clean, safe, and well-organized deck areas

Mentor and support assigned deck crew

Carry out emergency duties as per vessel requirements
REQUIREMENTS

Stage 3 Crane Operator certification (essential)

Offshore crane operating experience

Experience with lattice boom and/or knuckle boom cranes

Strong safety awareness and communication skills

Ability to work offshore and within rotational schedules

HLO / Helideck experience and deck certification (desirable)
