We’re seeking an accomplished Offshore Drilling Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of complex offshore drilling programs — from well design through to completion. If you hold a degree in Petroleum, Mechanical, or a related Engineering discipline (Master’s preferred), have 10–15 years’ experience in offshore drilling operations (including at least 5 in a leadership role), and bring proven expertise in well design, subsea operations, rig contracting, logistics, and HSE compliance — we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of offshore drilling programs, from well design through to completion.
- Develop and manage detailed drilling project plans, budgets, and schedules.
- Ensure operational readiness, including rig acceptance, logistics support, and equipment availability.
- Oversee daily drilling operations, monitor KPIs, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Coordinate with marine logistics to ensure vessel scheduling, berth access, and supply chain readiness.
- Enforce strict compliance with the client’s HSE Management System and local regulatory standards.
- Conduct risk assessments, hazard identification, and develop mitigation plans.
- Lead incident investigations and drive continuous improvement in safety performance.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the client, rig contractors, service companies, and port/shorebase operators.
- Maintain transparent communication with senior client leadership on project progress, risks, and cost performance.
- Negotiate with vendors and contractors to secure services in line with project requirements.
- Manage drilling program budgets, ensuring cost control and variance analysis.
- Oversee procurement of services, rental tools, and equipment, ensuring value for money and compliance with the client’s procurement policies.
- Support contract strategy and vendor performance reviews.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 10–15 years’ experience in offshore drilling operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership or project management role.
- Proven track record managing offshore drilling programs for major operators
- Strong knowledge of well design, drilling fluids, cementing, completions, and subsea operations.
- Experience in rig contracting, logistics planning, and berth/port management.
- Familiarity with international and local offshore regulatory frameworks.
