A Human Resource Assistant supports various HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee record management, and benefits administration. Their responsibilities involve maintaining employee files, scheduling interviews, and ensuring compliance with labor laws.

Responsibilities

  • Recruitment & Onboarding: Assist in the recruitment process by posting job vacancies, screening applications, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks. Support new employee onboarding
  • Employee Relations: Maintain employee records, ensure compliance with HR policies, and handle employee inquiries
  • Attendance & Payroll Support: Monitor and track employee attendance, vacation, and sick leave. Assist with payroll preparation by providing relevant data, such as hours worked, overtime, and deductions
  • Training & Development: Coordinate training programs for employees in areas such as safety protocols, machinery operations, and company policies, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • HR Administration: Manage and maintain accurate employee records, including updating HR systems with new hire information, status changes, and terminations. Prepare HR-related documents, such as contracts, disciplinary letters, and reports
  •  General HR Support: Provide general administrative support to the HR department, including handling correspondence, preparing documents, and scheduling meetings

Must Have

  • Previous experience in HR administration or related roles in the oil and gas industry is a plus.
  • Knowledge of HR laws and regulations
  • Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail
  • Diploma or degree in Human Resource, Business Administration or a related field
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as an HR assistant or similar.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
