A Lab technician Conduct laboratory analysis, testing, and measurements on various fluids (such as oil, produced water, glycols, and oilfield chemicals) in accordance with the approved monitoring plan to assess the effectiveness of the OFC program and ensure the asset integrity of the production system.

Responsibilities

  • • Promote and participate in health, safety, and environmental (QHSE) initiatives for both Contractor and Customer.
    • Implement and maintain the Laboratory Quality Management System.
    • Perform laboratory tasks with minimal supervision, following assignments from Production Supervisor and Technical Engineers.
    • Maintain lab facilities, ensuring proper calibration, maintenance of instruments, and sufficient chemical reagents and supplies.
    • Participate in quality control/assurance programs and ensure availability of necessary equipment, materials, and reagents.
    • Prepare lab equipment, conduct calibrations, and make simple adjustments as per manuals.
    • Generate relevant laboratory reports and maintain accurate records in compliance with laboratory quality systems.
    • Support lab audits and assist with laboratory accreditation to ensure compliance with QAS, DIAF, and Quality Practices.
    • Perform testing for Environmental/Sanitation, Hygiene Monitoring, and Waste Management Programs.
    • Coordinate core sample analyses with external laboratories when required.


Must Have

  • • University Diploma or equivalent experience
    • Verbal and written communication skills
    • Valid laboratory technician certificate
    • Computer skills, including excel, power point, and email communication
    • Excellent work ethic
    • Sets good example for others and promotes a positive environment
    • Excellent computer skills, including MS Office and email communication
    • Fluent English.
