The Offshore Steward is responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and housekeeping in offshore accommodations, dining areas, and common spaces. This role includes assisting in food service, ensuring safety compliance, and supporting the overall well-being of offshore personnel.

Responsibilities

  • · Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in all living quarters, dining areas, restrooms, and common spaces.
    · Assist in food preparation and meal service in accordance with hygiene and safety standards.
    · Ensure the proper handling and storage of food and beverages.
    · Follow and enforce health and safety regulations.
    · Perform laundry services and maintain linen supply for offshore personnel.
    · Dispose of waste properly and ensure cleanliness in waste disposal areas.
    · Replenish cleaning supplies and report shortages to the Camp Boss.
    · Assist with inventory management for catering and housekeeping supplies.
    · Comply with all offshore safety procedures and emergency response protocols.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in offshore hospitality, housekeeping, or catering services.
    · Certification in food safety and hygiene (e.g., HACCP, STCW Food & Hygiene Level 1 or 2) is an advantage.
    · Offshore survival and safety certification (e.g., BOSIET, HUET, or equivalent) preferred.
    · Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and adapt to offshore living conditions.
    · Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • · Experience in a similar role within the oil & gas, maritime, or offshore catering industry.
    · Knowledge of international health and safety standards related to food handling and accommodation services.
    · Multilingual abilities (English proficiency required; additional languages beneficial).
