Position Summary: We are seeking a Process Safety Engineer to join our dynamic team in the oil and gas sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with process safety standards, identifying and mitigating operational risks, and implementing safety management systems that protect personnel, equipment, and the environment
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of Process Safety Management (PSM) systems.
· Conduct risk assessments, HAZOP, HAZID, LOPA, and What-If analyses.
· Monitor and analyze process safety metrics and incident trends.
· Ensure compliance with local and international safety regulations and standards.
· Collaborate with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to enhance safety performance.
· Investigate process-related incidents and recommend corrective actions.
· Provide training and technical support on process safety practices.
· Support audits and regulatory inspections
Must Have
- · Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field.
· Minimum of 5 years' experience in process safety within the oil and gas industry.
· Strong understanding of industry safety regulations (e.g., OSHA, API, ISO, etc.).
· Demonstrated experience in PSM programs and risk assessment methodologies.
· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
· Certification in functional safety or process safety (e.g., CFSE, TUV) is an asset.
