About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious QMED/Oiler to join our offshore team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with large-scale diesel engines and a strong commitment to maintaining safe, efficient operations in all engineering spaces.

Key Responsibilities

Operational & Technical Duties

Safely and efficiently perform all assigned engineering and maintenance tasks.

Assist in minimizing equipment failure and ensuring operations remain within contractual limits.

Maintain accurate entries on permits, isolation tags, and logs.

Keep engineering spaces clean, organized, and properly maintained.

Ensure all maintenance operations are conducted safely and in accordance with company policies.

Maintain daily engine room operating logs.

Perform general maintenance, including cleaning, painting, and upkeep of motor and machinery rooms.

Report required parts, tools, and supplies to support equipment maintenance.

Assist other crew as directed by the Chief Engineer, Rig Maintenance Supervisor, Driller, or Rig Manager.

Support the development and training of newly appointed team members.

Maintain strong communication with crew members.

Preventative Maintenance & Repairs

Support the timely completion of repairs and projects to minimize backlog.

Perform preventative maintenance as per the maintenance program under the guidance of the Chief Engineer or designee.

Assist the 3rd Engineer in maintaining rig power generation equipment, drives, and related systems (air, fuel, water, cooling, heating).

Health, Safety & Environmental Responsibilities

Ensure all operations are executed safely and in compliance with Noble’s safety standards.

Immediately correct and report unsafe acts or conditions.

Promote Noble’s Live Safe Code and foster a zero-incident, no-harm work environment.

Use Noble’s Hazard Identification Tools to assess risks and prevent incidents.

Actively participate in daily pre-tour and weekly safety meetings.

Initiate safety stand downs when hazards or unexpected conditions arise.

Complete Safety Critical Tasks as outlined in the HSE Case.

Incorporate STOP-the-Job planning into all tasks.

Respond effectively during emergency duties without waiting for specific orders.

Develop and implement Job Safety Analyses and hazard assessments as required.

Ensure compliance with all government regulations and Noble’s Management System.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum 1 year of engine room experience working on large-scale diesel engines.

Must possess a QMED/Oiler Endorsement (or higher) valid for the vessel’s flag state.

Successful completion of all required training within designated timeframes.
