We are currently seeking a Rig Safety Advisor.
This role provides HSE support for all personnel on board the installation.
The Rig Safety Advisor works under the guidance of the Regional QHSE Advisor and QHSE Manager. You will advise the Offshore Installation Manager (OIM) and department heads on implementing company HSE programs.
The position ensures compliance with safety standards and promotes a strong safety culture across operations.
Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor HSE processes in coordination with regional QHSE Advisors.
- Coach Safe Systems of Work (SSoW) and promote activities to improve HSE performance.
- Manage HSE programs and training, including onboarding, emergency drills, and competency assurance.
- Prepare and submit HSE reports for company, clients, and regulatory bodies.
- Conduct rig inspections and ensure HSE equipment readiness.
- Lead behavior-based safety initiatives and support OIM in HSE-related tasks.
Must Have
- Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of five (5) years of HSE experience.
- At least three (3) years of experience in an offshore environment.
- Available to travel to remote locations as the employer determines is necessary to meet business needs.
- Physically able to be transported to an offshore rigs.
- NEBOSH or CSP certification preferred.
- Valid Seaman Book.
- Valid TBOSIET (Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training).
