The Director of Operations will oversee the day-to-day operations of our construction company, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest

quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operational leadership, strategic planning, and team management within the construction industry.

 

Work Environment:

This role involves working in both an office setting and on construction sites. The Director of Operations must navigate various environments and adhere to all safety protocols.

Occasional travel between project locations may be required.

Responsibilities

-        Develop and implement operational processes and standards to improve productivity and project success.

-       Lead project management teams, ensuring clear communication and coordination between site managers, contractors, and stakeholders.

-        Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and building codes.

-        Work closely with the executive team to establish and execute long-range goals, strategies, plans, and policies.

-        Lead and develop operations staff, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.

-        Stay abreast of construction market trends and technologies to maintain competitive edge.

-        Liaise with the procurement department to ensure timely sourcing of materials and equipment.

-        Resolve conflicts or miscommunications quickly and effectively.

-        Provide regular reports on project status and operational challenges to the CEO and executive team.



Qualifications

-        Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.

-        At least 5 years of experience in construction operations in a leadership role.

-        Comprehensive understanding of the construction industry and project management principles.

-        Strong leadership and team management skills.

-        Proficient in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

-        Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
