Vessel Lead III

Serves as the primary interface with Contractor Vessel Superintendent and oversees on-vessel Construction/Technical Foremen and Inspectors. Is responsible for on-vessel safety, quality, and incident response support and provides technical installation support to Field Engineer (if assigned).

Responsibilities

• Provides in daily communication to Offshore Area Operations Lead on offshore execution activities, and progress
• Ensure Contractor work and safety management systems are followed
• Participate in on-board Risk Assessments and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) development
• Ensure approved installation procedures are followed or Management of Change (MOC) process is implemented
• Implement field surveillance plans
• Steward implementation of site safety, quality, and emergency response plans
• Provide input and endorsement of daily activity reports
• Validate and co-endorse (with Field Engineer) Contractor daily report including extra or reimbursable work and downtime
• Manage offshore technical foremen and inspectors as needed
• Monitor vessel condition/readiness
• Monitor contractor performance and ensure specifications / approved procedures are followed

Must Have

• 20+ years offshore installation (pipelay and subsea) experience (including management of change, risk assessment processes and procedure reviews)
• At least 12 years of offshore installation vessel supervisory experience working as Client Representative on Oil and Gas Projects, with experience as Vessel Lead supervising Installation Technical Forepersons and Inspectors
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel and common E-mail systems
• Fluent English
• Must be able to obtain an industry accepted Basic Safety/Survival Training
• Must be able to obtain valid Offshore Medical
