The role of an
Operations Supervisor or Logistics Coordinator is integral to the efficient
management of operations within a company's supply chain. They oversee and
coordinate various aspects of logistics, including inventory management,
transportation, and distribution, to ensure timely delivery of goods and
services to customers.
Responsibilities:
· Supervising and coordinating daily operations within the logistics department, including receiving, warehousing, and shipping activities.
· Planning and scheduling logistics operations to optimize resources, minimize costs, and meet customer delivery requirements.
· Monitoring inventory levels and replenishment processes to maintain adequate stock levels and prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
· Coordinating transportation activities, including route planning, carrier selection, and tracking shipments to ensure on-time delivery.

Liaising with suppliers, vendors, and
transportation providers to negotiate rates, resolve issues, and ensure
compliance with contractual agreements.
Education & Experience:
· Bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
· Previous experience in logistics, operations management, or supply chain roles, with progressively increasing levels of responsibility.
· Proficiency in logistics software systems, warehouse management systems (WMS), and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
· Knowledge of transportation regulations, import/export procedures, and international trade compliance requirements.
· Strong analytical skills, Excellent communication, and leadership abilities.
