Sales Engineer

The Sales Engineer, reporting directly to the Manager of Operations, plays a pivotal role in driving sales revenue for Guyana Valve & Fitting Company Inc. This position is responsible for fostering new client relationships, nurturing existing ones, and achieving or surpassing sales targets.



Client Acquisition: Proactively identify and cultivate relationships with prospective clients, leveraging resources effectively to secure new business opportunities.


Sales and Marketing: Strategically sell and market company products and services, consistently striving to meet or exceed sales objectives.


Customer Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong rapport with customers, expanding product lines and providing tailored solutions to meet their needs.


Needs Assessment: Schedule meetings with potential and current clients to assess their requirements for goods and services, preparing customized sales proposals accordingly.


Technical Support: Offer comprehensive engineering and technical assistance internally and externally, including tender proposal preparation and instrumentation expertise.


Quotation and Order Management: Respond promptly to customer Requests for Quotations (RFQs), secure purchase orders, and provide accurate quotations, specifications, and delivery estimates.


After Sales Support: Administer all stages of the sales process, ensuring seamless after-sales support and resolving any issues or queries promptly and effectively.


Market Knowledge: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to maintain a competitive edge and provide informed recommendations to customers.


Presentation and Training: Develop and deliver engaging sales presentations to enhance product understanding and awareness. Identify customer training needs and conduct seminars or demonstrations accordingly.
